Chas Kelley III made a 3-pointer with 4.8 seconds to play to help Boston College end a six-game losing streak by beating Florida State 77-76 Saturday in Chestnut Hill, Mass.Florida State led by two after BC’s Chad Venning scored with seven seconds remaining. Fred Payne added 14 points and was the only other BC player to score in double figures.Jamir Watkins contributed 19 points and seven rebounds for Florida State, which has lost four in a row.Malique Ewin added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Seminoles, who led by 15 in the second half and by nine with just over three minutes to play. Florida State didn’t have a field goal for a 9:46 stretch that ended with 3:36 left.Both teams played short-handed. Florida State forward Taylor Bol Bowen didn’t dress after sustaining a head injury during Wednesday’s loss to Virginia Tech. Jerry Deng, Bol Bowen’s replacement in the starting lineup, suffered an ankle injury during the first half and didn’t take the court after halftime.
