High Point head coach Alan Huss is leaving to rejoin the Creighton staff as its head-coach-in-waiting, ESPN reported Thursday.Huss, 46, was Greg McDermott’s assistant with the Bluejays for six seasons (2017-23) before leaving to become head coach of the Panthers.There is no specific timeline for the retirement of McDermott, 60, who has been the head coach at Creighton since 2010.Huss has guided High Point to a 56-15 record in two seasons, winning back-to-back Big South regular-season crowns and leading the Panthers to the NCAA Tournament this March. They fell 75-63 to No. 4 seed Purdue in the first round.
