Kansas guard Shakeel Moore had surgery to repair a broken foot and could miss up to eight weeks, according to the school. He sustained the injury in a recent pickup game.The Jayhawks open their 2024-25 season Nov. 4 against Howard and are expected to be ranked at or near No. 1 in the preseason polls.Moore began his collegiate career began at North Carolina State, where he played in 2020-21. He then transferred to Mississippi State, playing three seasons there. He averaged 7.9 points, 1.8 assists and 23.5 minutes per game in 33 games (22 starts) for the Bulldogs in 2023-24.
