Report: Texas A&M RB Rueben Owens to miss season

Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens will miss the 2024 season with a lower leg injury, ESPN reported.Aggies head coach Mike Elko confirmed Sunday that the injury occurred during Saturday’s scrimmage.”I will address his injury at my next media availability,” said Elko, who is in his first year in College Station.Owens earned SEC All-Freshman honors as a true freshman in 2023 after leading all first-year players in the league in rushing yards (385) and kick return yards (249).The Aggies’ depth chart at running back includes juniors Amari Daniels and Le’Veon Moss and Stanford transfer EJ Smith, son of Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith.
